Dear Friends and Neighbors,

As the 2026 legislative session approaches, I want to encourage students in the 16th Legislative District to apply for the Washington State House of Representatives Page Program.

Applications are open until February 20, or until all slots are filled – so apply early to avoid missing out.

Pages work a 40-hour week, supporting legislative offices by distributing materials, running messages, assisting on the chamber floor, and participating in ceremonial duties. They also get to attend Page School, where they learn about the legislative process and the work your legislators do in Olympia.

For their work, Pages are paid $65 per day and receive 20 hours of community service credit.

Learn more about the House Page Program by watching the video below. You can do so by clicking here or directly on the photo below.

I know traveling to Olympia can be a difficult and often cost-prohibitive trip. Applicants who need financial assistance for the expenses of travel and housing may apply for the Gina Grant Bull Memorial Legislative Page Scholarship.

A housing list of host families will be shared with the selected applicants.

If you have any questions about the Washington State House of Representatives Page Program, check out the FAQ or reach out to my office at (360) 786-7828.

I hope to see your application over the coming months. Thank you for allowing me the honor of serving you!

Sincerely,

Skyler Rude
