Rep. Skyler Rude invites students in the 16th Legislative District to apply for the Washington State House Page Program
Rep. Skyler Rude invites students in the 16th District, ages 14 to 16, to apply for the Washington State House of Representatives Page Program.
Applications will be accepted until Feb. 20, 2026, or until all slots are filled. There are nine opportunities during the upcoming legislative session, which runs from Jan. 12 to March 12.
“Serving as a page is a great way to learn about the legislative process and build connections that can last a lifetime,” said Rude, R-Walla Walla.
Pages work a 40-hour week, supporting legislative offices by distributing materials, running messages, assisting on the chamber floor, and participating in ceremonial duties. They also get to attend Page School, where they learn about the legislative process and the work your legislators do in Olympia.
For their work, House Pages are paid $65 per day and receive 20 hours of community service credit. The legislature’s civic education staff will help connect pages to resources and host families to support students travelling from afar.
Participation requires applicants to have parental consent, be at least 14 years old and no older than 17 at the time of paging, and obtain a teacher recommendation (excluding homeschooled students). Students may also page only once in either the House or the Senate.
Applicants who need financial assistance for the expenses of travel and housing may apply for the Gina Grant Bull Memorial Legislative Page Scholarship. Applying for the scholarship will not affect whether you are accepted into the Page Program. Scholarship applications are due two weeks before your scheduled paging week.
